My dear blog,
After attending my lesson "Effective internet research", I realized that there is such a database called invisible web. What is invisible web? Do you have any idea of it????
Invisible web is actually a collection of information stored in the form of data. It is a data that is being filter according to the category of what the users are searching for. Information is being categories accordingly to Newspaper, Journal and Magazines Articles, Report & Statistics, Specialist Resources. With this, it enable to give users more relevant and up-to date information and enable the user to generalize its research. Here are the pictures of what *Invisible Web* looks like.......
Under Invisible web, this is the newspaper category which enable users to find its articles that is published in the newspapers. Users can click onto any icons such as "Business Times Online", "Lexis Nexis", "News-link", "Press Link", "Press-display" as well as "Straits Times to gather its newspaper research.

In a conclusion, I realized that all search engine is useful for my finding and enable me to get the relevant and up-to-date information to support my research. As we always use Google to find information, it is always good to try out new search engines maybe we can find better information that Google did not provide us. With more information gather from various search engine, our report will done perfectly as we can compare different findings from different search engine and get the best piece of research to support our report.
Hence, i will try to use invisible web to research for my topic on "Serious emotional disturbance and youth" as it is a school search engines and i believe that i can get information that is most accurate and relevant. Furthermore, information from invisible web has being categories accordingly to Newspaper, Journal and Magazines Articles, Report & Statistics, Specialist Resources therefore it is much more easy for me to research on my topics.
Try to use other search engine rather than Google, maybe you will love other search engine and allow you to find more information that you need for your research. Do select and compare both search engine for example Invisible web and Meta search engine when you are researching for your information so that you can get more information and make your report more interesting and accuracy.
